Two-Factor Authentication
Add an extra layer of security to your PostRite account with two-factor authentication (2FA).
What is Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra security step when logging in. After signing in with Google or a magic link, you'll need to enter a verification code sent to your email.
Setting Up 2FA
Enable 2FA
- Go to Settings → Account
- Find the Two-Factor Authentication section
- Click Enable 2FA
- A verification code is sent to your email
- Enter the code to confirm and activate 2FA
Email-Based Verification
PostRite uses email-based 2FA — no authenticator app needed. A fresh code is sent to your email each time you log in.
Using 2FA
After enabling 2FA, logging in works like this:
- Sign in with Google or a magic link as usual
- A verification code is sent to your email
- Enter the code on the verification screen
- You're logged in!
Code Not Arriving?
Check your spam/junk folder. You can also click Resend Code on the verification screen to get a new code.
Disabling 2FA
- Go to Settings → Account
- Find the Two-Factor Authentication section
- Click Disable 2FA
- Confirm the action
Troubleshooting
Code Not Working
- Make sure you're entering the most recent code (older codes expire)
- Click Resend Code to get a fresh one
- Check that you're checking the correct email address
