Inviting Team Members

Add team members to collaborate on your social media content.

Who Can Invite Members

Only Admins and Owners can invite new members to an organization. Editors and Viewers cannot send invitations.

Sending an Invitation

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Click Invite Member
  3. Enter the person's email address
  4. Select their role (Viewer, Editor, or Admin)
  5. Click Send Invitation

The person will receive an email with a link to join your organization. If they don't have a PostRite account, they'll be prompted to create one.

Invitation Status

Invitations can have the following statuses:

  • Pending: Invitation sent, waiting for acceptance
  • Accepted: Member has joined the organization
  • Expired: Invitation link has expired (after 7 days)

Resending an Invitation

If an invitation expired or wasn't received:

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Find the pending invitation
  3. Click Resend

Canceling an Invitation

To cancel a pending invitation:

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Find the pending invitation
  3. Click Cancel or the trash icon

Accepting an Invitation

When someone receives an invitation:

  1. They click the link in the invitation email
  2. If not logged in, they sign in or create an account
  3. They're automatically added to the organization
  4. The organization appears in their organization switcher

Member Limits

All plans (Basic, Standard, and Advanced) include unlimited team members. The main difference between plans is the number of social accounts and posts per month. See the Billing & Plans page for details.

Unlimited Team Members

All plans include unlimited team members. The main difference between plans is the number of connected social accounts and posts per month.

Removing Members

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Find the member you want to remove
  3. Click the menu (⋮) and select Remove
  4. Confirm the removal

Removed members lose access immediately. Their scheduled posts remain but can be reassigned or deleted by Admins.

Troubleshooting

Invitation Not Received

  • Check spam/junk folder
  • Verify the email address is correct
  • Resend the invitation
  • Ask them to add noreply@postrite.app to contacts

Invitation Link Doesn't Work

  • The link may have expired (7 days)
  • The invitation may have been canceled
  • Ask for a new invitation to be sent

Member Can't Access Organization

  • Make sure they're logged in with the invited email
  • Check if they accepted the invitation
  • They may need to switch organizations in the top-left switcher
