Team Management
Collaborate with your team on social media content. Invite members, assign roles, and manage permissions.
Organizations
In PostRite, teams are organized into Organizations. When you create an account, you automatically get a personal organization. You can create additional organizations for different teams, clients, or projects.
Creating an Organization
- Click your organization name in the sidebar
- Select Create Organization
- Enter a name for your organization
- Click Create
Switching Organizations
If you're a member of multiple organizations, click the organization name in the sidebar to switch between them. Each organization has its own:
- Connected social accounts
- Posts and drafts
- Team members
- Settings
Team Roles
PostRite has four roles with different permission levels:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access. Can delete organization, manage billing, and do everything. |
| Admin | Can manage members, settings, connected accounts, and all posts. |
| Editor | Can create, edit, schedule, and publish posts. Can manage templates and upload media. Can view connected accounts but cannot connect or disconnect them. |
| Viewer | Can view posts and calendar. Cannot create or edit content. |
Inviting Team Members
- Go to Settings → Team
- Click Invite Member
- Enter their email address
- Select a role
- Click Send Invite
The invited person will receive an email with a link to join. If they already have a PostRite account, they'll be added to your organization immediately. If not, they'll be prompted to create an account first.
Pending Invites
View pending invitations in Settings → Team. You can resend or cancel invites that haven't been accepted.
Managing Members
Changing Roles
Admins and Owners can change member roles:
- Go to Settings → Team
- Find the member you want to update
- Click the role dropdown
- Select the new role
Removing Members
To remove a member from your organization:
- Go to Settings → Team
- Find the member
- Click the menu icon (⋮)
- Select Remove from organization
Removed members lose access to the organization immediately but their PostRite account remains active.
Best Practices
- Use the least privilege principle: Give team members only the permissions they need.
- Have multiple admins: Ensure at least two people have admin access in case someone is unavailable.
- Regular audits: Periodically review team members and remove those who no longer need access.
- Use Viewer for clients: Give clients Viewer access so they can see scheduled content without making changes.
Organization Settings
Organization Owners and Admins can update organization settings:
- Name: Change the organization display name
- Timezone: Set the default timezone for scheduling
- Billing: Manage subscription and payment (Owner only)
Transferring Ownership
To transfer organization ownership to another member:
- Go to Settings → Team
- Find the member you want to transfer ownership to
- Open their actions menu and click Transfer Ownership
- Confirm the transfer
You can transfer ownership to any active member, regardless of their current role. After transfer, you'll become an Admin. This action cannot be undone.
