Threads
Connect your Threads account to schedule text-based content on Meta's conversation platform.
Requirements
Threads Profile Required
You need an active Threads profile linked to an Instagram Business or Creator account. Threads connects independently — you don't need to connect Instagram to PostRite first.
Connecting Your Account
- Go to the Platforms page from the sidebar
- Click Connect on the Threads card
- A popup will open — log in with your Threads account
- Authorize PostRite to access your Threads profile
- The popup will close and your account will appear in the list
Supported Features
- Text posts up to 500 characters
- Image attachments (up to 10 images)
- Video attachments
- Links (auto-embedded)
- @mentions
- Scheduled posting

Media Requirements
Images
- Formats: JPEG, PNG
- Aspect ratio: Various supported (will be cropped to fit)
- Recommended: Square (1:1) or portrait (4:5)
Videos
- Formats: MP4, MOV
- Maximum duration: 5 minutes
- Recommended aspect ratio: 9:16 (vertical)
Best Practices
- Be conversational: Threads is designed for conversations
- Engage with replies: Building community increases reach
- Cross-promote: Share your Threads posts to Instagram Stories
- Authentic voice: Personal, authentic content performs well
- Optimal timing: Post when your audience is most active
Limitations
- No hashtags: Threads doesn't support clickable hashtags
- No scheduling in app: Use PostRite to schedule ahead
- Limited analytics: Less detailed than other platforms
Troubleshooting
Can't see Threads option
- Ensure you have a Threads profile linked to your Instagram account
- Verify your Instagram account is a Business or Creator account
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Threads account
Post fails to publish
- Check content is within 500 character limit
- Ensure media meets requirements
- Verify your Threads account is active and not restricted
