Connect WhatsApp Business API to schedule and send messages to your contacts.

WhatsApp Business API Required

This integration requires access to the WhatsApp Business API through Meta Business Suite. The regular WhatsApp app cannot be connected to third-party applications.

Requirements

  • WhatsApp Business API access (via Meta Business Suite)
  • Verified Facebook Business account
  • Phone number registered with WhatsApp Business
  • Approved message templates (for sending outside 24-hour window)

Connecting Your Account

  1. Set up WhatsApp Business API in Meta Business Suite
  2. Generate a permanent access token from a System User
  3. Get your Phone Number ID from WhatsApp Business settings
  4. Go to the Platforms page in PostRite
  5. Click Connect on the WhatsApp card
  6. Enter your access token and phone number ID
  7. Click Connect to save

Message Types

Session Messages

Free-form messages that can be sent within 24 hours of the customer's last message to you. These can contain any content.

Template Messages

Pre-approved message templates that can be sent anytime. Templates must be approved by WhatsApp before use.

Creating Message Templates

  1. Go to Meta Business Suite
  2. Navigate to WhatsApp Manager → Message Templates
  3. Click Create Template
  4. Choose template category and language
  5. Write your template content with variables
  6. Submit for approval (usually takes 24-48 hours)

  • Get consent: Only message people who have opted in
  • Use templates wisely: Keep templates relevant and valuable
  • Respond quickly: Utilize the 24-hour session window
