Connect your TikTok account to schedule and publish videos and photo carousels.
Requirements
Business or Creator Account Required
TikTok API access requires a Business or Creator account. Personal accounts cannot be connected to third-party apps for publishing.
Connecting Your Account
- Go to the Platforms page from the sidebar
- Click Connect on the TikTok card
- A popup will open - log in to TikTok
- Authorize PostRite to post on your behalf
- The popup will close and your account will appear in the list

- Upload and publish videos (sent to creator inbox for review)
- Publish photo carousels (1-35 images, published directly)
- Add captions up to 2,200 characters
- Schedule posts for future publishing
- Privacy controls: Public, Followers, Friends, Self Only
- Duet & Stitch settings (enable/disable for videos)
- Comment controls (enable/disable comments)
- Brand content disclosure (paid partnership toggle)
- AI-generated content disclosure (AIGC toggle)
- Add hashtags and mentions in captions

- Vertical format: 9:16 videos perform best on TikTok

- Consistent posting: Regular posting helps the algorithm
- Optimal times: Generally 7-9 PM local time performs well
Troubleshooting
Can't connect my account
- Ensure you have a TikTok Business or Creator account
- Try clearing your browser cookies
- Make sure you're logged into the correct TikTok account
Video fails to upload
- Check video format (MP4 recommended)
- Ensure video is under 10 minutes
- Verify file size is under 287.6 MB
- Check if video meets minimum 3-second duration
Low engagement after publishing
- TikTok's algorithm needs time to distribute content
- Ensure video is high quality and engaging
- Post during peak hours for your audience
