What is Google Business Profile?
Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) is a free tool that lets businesses manage their online presence across Google, including Search and Maps. Posts appear directly on your business listing.
Requirements
- A verified Google Business Profile
- Owner or Manager access to the business
- A Google account with the appropriate permissions
Connecting Your Profile
- Go to the Platforms page from the sidebar
- Click Connect on the Google Business card
- A popup will open - sign in with your Google account
- Select the business location(s) you want to manage
- Grant PostRite permission to manage your posts
- The popup will close and your business will appear in the list
Multiple Locations
If you manage multiple business locations, you can connect them all and schedule posts for each location individually.

Image Requirements
- Formats: JPEG, PNG
- Minimum resolution: 400 x 300 px
- Recommended: 1200 x 900 px (4:3 ratio)
- Maximum file size: 5 MB

Add buttons to drive specific actions:
- Book: Link to booking page
- Order online: Link to ordering system
- Buy: Link to product page
- Learn more: Link to more information
- Sign up: Link to registration
- Call now: Initiate phone call
Best Practices
- Post regularly: Weekly posts keep your listing active
- Use images: Posts with images get more engagement
- Include CTAs: Always add a relevant call-to-action
- Local focus: Mention your location for local relevance
- Timely content: Tie posts to seasons, holidays, or local events
Post Expiration
Google Business posts expire after 6 months (or on the end date for offers/events). Plan to refresh content regularly.
Troubleshooting
Can't see my business
- Ensure your Google Business Profile is verified
- Check you have Owner or Manager access
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Google account
Post fails to publish
- Check content doesn't exceed character limits
- Ensure image meets requirements
- Verify your business isn't suspended
- Check for content policy violations
Post not showing on listing
- Posts may take a few minutes to appear
- Some posts are reviewed before publishing
- Check if post was rejected for policy reasons
