We started with the engine.
PostRite is built by three cousins — Youri, Gabriell and Fabio Mattar — all software engineers. Before the calendar and the editor, we wrote the part that has to be right: the queue that publishes at the minute you picked, and the record that tells you exactly what the network answered when it doesn't.
Why we wrote the queue first
We used a few scheduling tools before writing our own. When something went wrong they all showed the same thing: a post marked as published. The network had refused it, and the reason sat behind a screen nobody opened.
We learned each network's rules by trial and error: the video Instagram takes and TikTok doesn't, the text that runs past the limit, the image that needs a different ratio. No tool checked any of it while you were scheduling; it checked afterwards, when it was already too late.
So we inverted the order: the scheduler first, then each network's limits, the workspace time zone and the error record. The calendar, the editor and the approval workflow came later, on top of an engine that already published on time.

Limits are checked before the queue
Every network has its own: text length, video format, image ratio, how many files fit in one post. PostRite checks them while you schedule, so nothing enters the queue already knowing it cannot publish.

A failed post carries what the platform returned, not our translation of “it failed”. That text is what tells you what to fix before sending it again — and it reaches you by email and notification, without you going to look.
